Jaguar Land Rover — Global Event & Showcase Inventory System
Before Jaguar Motorsport ever came on board, Jaguar Land Rover's own events team was already a Binary client — the relationship that led to that referral. An internal system tracking every physical asset JLR moves around the world for showcase events, from display stands to props.
Wherever Jaguar Land Rover has a presence — Goodwood Festival of Speed included — someone had to move the stand, the screens, the tables and chairs, and every prop that goes with it, and know exactly where all of it is. That's what this system tracks: every item individually, with a lettered condition grade, serial number, barcode, warehouse location, purchase cost and usage history. Staff build a request from a cart of items, which converts into a formal event once approved — complete with pick, collection, delivery and return dates, full site-contact details, and health & safety notes.
Items get picked and returned against each event with condition logged both ways, and a dedicated refurbishment workflow tracks anything sent out for repair — supplier, cost, due date — through to completion, alongside write-off tracking for anything retired outright. It doesn't touch anything financial, no invoicing or accounts — this is a purely internal system — but as far as that goes, it runs this entire side of the business end to end.
